Newsweek claimed that Virgin Galactic travelled twice the speed of light.

There was the time they claimed that Virgin Galactic travelled twice the speed of light. While just a gaffe, it's such a blatant one that it shows incredibly shoddy journalism that it ever got through. Anyone with a clue on science would think, "wait, what? That's not right". Unfortunately, Newsweek doesn't hire people with a clue.

While our media has always had false narratives and bad stories that are Fake News, we didn't use the term "Fake News". We called it liberal media bias or journalistic incompetence, but it's been around since the first liberal got sloppy somewhere back in Roman times.
