Chicken Drumsticks that look nicer, cook more evenly, and are neater to eat. They cost a bit more in prep time, but are a bit fancier if you want to make peasant food look more appetizing to the hoi polloi. |

Dino Ribs |

A local sort of fad thing is Dino Ribs, which comes out similar to bone-in beef brisket (though it's a different steer part). Highly marbled and requires a long cook, it can be nice. |

Pickled Eggs |

We used to make Pickled Quail Eggs as a kid (a friend had quail and other poultry). I've tried to find the same recipe. Haven't nailed it yet, but this is close. (They are a pain to peel... and I can buy OK ones at Bucees, so I don't do these often). |

I think people way over complicate stuff. Cooking and ribs are an example. It isn't hard to make really good ribs. And the difference between great and excellent, is in the weeds and a bunch of personal preference stuff. But the basics aren't that hard. I start with 3..2..1 ribs. |
Sabzi Khordan |

Persian Herbs served as both an appetizer, and something to add to flavor (as sort of seasonings). I usually have had it with cheese, crackers/bread, olives and the like. You gnosh on it by itself. But if you're having something like Kabob, you can add some of it to that too (or I do). Very addicting. |
