NIH Director (Politician) with a history of sensationalism and flip-flops that undermine his messages. Being a political figure in charge of a political organization like the NIH is hard to get credibility, but Fauci made it harder by being so arrogant, flip-floppy, and obviously partisan. I don't like Fauci because he's a politician pretending to be a scientist and that cheapens Science/Scientists. This career bureaucrat discredits science, undermines the NIH, with his history of smarmy arrogant double-speak. He has a conflict of interest via financial involvement with the vaccine makers, and then spending his career undermining alternatives to expensive vaccines. Even if only half the nation finds him irritating, that makes him the wrong spokesperson for the agency... but the fact that it's the most rational half of the nation makes it worse.

• CNN Interview In an interview with CNN+ (the day before it went belly up), in Fauci's office, you can see him (a) Not wearing a mask, while whining about removing the mask mandate for Airlines (b) see what a masturbatory temple of self promotion the little man has made for himself, including keeping his own bobblehead on his desk.

• Newsweek/Bhattacharya Far-Left Newswoke slammed him (actually they left Stanford Doctor Jay Bhattacharya do it). But it was a devistating piece pointing out he was wrong on:

1. Death rates / reporting
2. Masks
3. Natural immunity
4. Not protecting the elderly
5. School closures
6. Useless and wasteful contact tracing
7. Vaccines
8. Discounting theraputics
9. collateral public health damage
10. Gain of Function research (which may have released the virus on everyone)

• [1] He preyed on HIV hysteria claiming it could be spread by casual contact, while he was on the team that was working on a vaccine (and never created one).
• [2] During the Swine Flu (H1N1) Pandemic (2009), Fauci claimed 33% could catch Swine Flu. Instead of 110M catching it, it was about 1/3rd to 1/10th that.
• [3] Claimed "[COVID] is not a major threat to the people of the United States", then later blamed Trump for over-reacting, and then for listening to him.
• [4] Admitted cloth masks weren't helpful, but 3 days later flipped (and lied that they were) when it became politically expedient. Then lied that he only had lied in the first place to save PPE supplies.
• [5] He dismissed that SARS-COVID-2 escaping from a research lab was a conspiracy theory without merit.
• [6] Fauci claimed he/NIH didn't sponsor "gain-of-function" research in Wuhan lab. And Called Dr. Rand Paul a liar for disagreeing with him.
• [7] Undermined the idea that natural immunity is better than the vaccine.
• [8] Lied about how many it would take to get to herd immunity.
• [8] Claimed more kids have died of COVID than the Flu.
• [9] Claimed Mask mandates were the only way to end the pandemic. Predicted doom and gloom when Texas/Florida repealed mask mandates. Never corrected the record when they outperformed places with them.
• [10] January 2020 called China's lockdowns draconian and impractical in U.S. - March 2020 he flipped and supported them (for 14 days) in the U.S.
• [11] Took the anti-science side on all theraputics. HCQ (hydroxychloroquine), Ivermectin, remdesivir, etc. All showed theraputic benefits that would have saved many lives (and a lot of fear) if they hadn't of been attacked/discounted by the media and NIH.
