Politifact self-owns when trying to correct Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears. They get it wrong, and show that more was spent on CRT than she claimed, not less. While Fact Checking Virginia Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears Politifact totally blows it. They corrected her claims that Loudoun County School spent about $300K on CRT, by saying it was only $30K -- which would have still shown her correct, as the left was claiming that CRT doesn't exist. Politfaked self-owns... by Fact Checking Virginia Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears -- who said, “We know last year the Loudoun County School Board spent about $300,000 – that’s real money, that’s going-to-jail money – to bring CRT in some form or fashion to the school system.”

They corrected her by saying it was only $34,167 -- for something they previously rated as fake altogether (that CRT was being promoted/taught in schools).

Then Daily Caller reporter Chrissy Clark fact-checked Politifact and pointed out that the agency doing the teaching actually was given $397,500 over the last few years (presumably for the same cause) according to the receipts.

And Marc Thiessen wrote about this spending last November (and was likely the source of the quote) back when it was only $314,000

Sears asks for an apology/retraction, and far left Poynter/PolitiFact ignores their journalistic responsibility.

Conclusion

So what did we learn? (1) Politifact is garbage at fact-checking, partisan in their results. (2) The left and their media have been saying there is no such thing as CRT and it's not being taught in schools, but the receipts say otherwise. And any organization/person that denies it, is not an honest person/journalist.
