Google made a deal with Russia to manipulate search results in Russia. (aka delete links to banned sites). This shows how much Google values free speech, and tolerates violent despots, censorship, and so on.

This is a complex issue, and personally I'm undecided. Whenever you do business with a country, you have to abide that countries laws and cultural values -- so I'm not opposed to that. But on the other hand, you don't get to pretend to care about free speech, then ally yourself with despotic countries that wish to suppress it (like Russia/China). At least not without looking hypocritical. So I'm not as outraged as many, but I also don't think it's a good look.
