Two tweets, same faulty premise: that all jobs need to be able to support a career.
This is neither possible nor desirable for a healthy economy.
There are a plethora of situations that require different types of jobs. We need entry-level jobs to gain experience, we need very low-skill jobs where someone with very low skills or no skills can get a start in. We need part-time jobs, we need jobs for teenagers, we need supplemental income jobs.
There are literally so many different types of situation and needs that people can be in that we can't possibly name them all. So if you are occupying a job that doesn't fit your situation, then it is indeed up to you to find one that does, and your current job can be filled by someone whose situation fits. That doesn't mean they have to remain poor, it could just mean it is an entry-level job that they use to gain experience and move on.
