"Liberalism" in America is like someone marrying for the 6th time, the triumph of hope over experience.
"Liberals" aren't liberal any more[edit source]

Liberals used to fight for "liberty" (individuals). In American, Liberalism was taken over by Progressives. Progressives don't fight for individual rights, but for groups, Social Justice and collective rights. (Identity politics). This isn't liberal, or tolerant. Watch how they treat those that say somethign they don't approve; do they fight for liberty or authority? |
Real liberals (classical liberals) are Libertarians. But that's not how the term is used.
