Student Loans
- What do you get if you already paid off your student loans? You get to help pay off the loans of everyone who splurged on luxuries instead of paying theirs off.
- What if my boat loan identifies as a Student Loan? Then you've probably learned more from boating than from school. So you should be able to write it off... but not sure Biden would agree.
If you can forgive $10k of debt without negative consequence, why not $100k? Or all debt?
If we can write off all debt, why can't we institute infinite new debt and pay that off instantly too? Houses and cars for everyone. Seems utterly cruel why we haven't already done this.
This is what Democrat Economics always boils to down to. Don't think about the costs/consequences, just create a victim group, use that to exploit/extort or steal from someone else. They often subscribe to MMT Modern Monetary Theory, which is the delusion that you can print and spend as much as you want, without consequences. But if that was the case, then they're assholes for only doing it for so few people, and not spreading the wealth even more. |
How much will it cost?
≈600B assuming this is the first Government programs in history to not go over estimate.
Who does this help?
This program is designed to use Student Loans as cover, to pay off the base (Democrat donors), and stick other people with the bill. State Universities donate ≈$300B (and 10:1) for Democrats, and they deliver indoctrinated rubes that vote Democrat until they learn how the real world works.
If you doubt that, ask youself, "if they cared about education or students, why did they exclude Private Universities?" |
Who does this hurt?
This program will likely hurt the bottom folks more than it helps them. (a) The majority don't go to unversity (b) This encourages more useless degrees (and cruft in the degrees) since it decouples employment (and ability to pay for school) from going to school (c) this programs gives $10 to a few, and it costs everyone about $6,000 to do it.
Do the math - $600B / 100M households equals $6,000/household. If you're a tradesman, hourly worker, immigrant, etc., your taxes go to paying for spoiled kids to get a greivance studies degree. |
- What problem does this fix? None. If progressives/democrats fixed problems, they couldn't go to voters with their hands out to fix problems. The goal is to look like you care, without actually caring or fixing, or you'd be out of a job. In 5 years, we'll have more student debt than today. And this allows Universities to raise tuitions. Fraud/abuse will be rampant. It doesn't nothing to improve quality of education or value. So where's the win?
- Is this legal? This is 100% violates the spirit of the Constitution. Which clearly states that budgetary items are the purview of congress, and congress can NOT delegate that power. They've done so anyways. The President is abusing a War Powers clause (written for 9/11 style emergencies) to pretend this should extend to COVID (which is over), and somehow writing off Student Debt is part of that emergency power. Vile, lying, corrupt asshole. He should be impeached for violating his oath of office and responsibilities by trying this.
- What should this accomplish? This should red-pill all the nation that the Democrats are everything conservatives have warned; tax and spend, divisive, assholes, that are trying to destroy the economy and hurt people, because they think that will give them more power/money to fix what they broke.
