Richard Grenell
Trump appoints the first gay DNI director, and the media is silent or calling him a homophobe. If he is, he's doing it wrong.

You didn't hear much about it over the Resist and Pussy Protest crowd screaming Trump was a sexist homophobe, but Trump had first vetted Richard Grenell for the U.N. ambassador to the United Nations (who would have been the first openly gay man to hold that position) back in 2017... but he appointed Indian-American Nikki Haley instead.
Then in 2020 Trump appointed Grenell to acting Director of National Intelligence.
Think about that, under Democrats starting at the turn of the century, Gays would be court-martialed and thrown out of the military, they were thrown out of the State Department and Intelligence agencies (as well as many government posts) as a threat to National Security, and were forced underground in Hollywood. And Trump (R) is the first President to appoint one to head National Security. (While the Democrats are screaming what a bad appointment this is).
If Trump is a homophobe, he's doing it wrong. And if the press cares about LGBT so much, why didn't they ever talk about this? Do you think it could be because it broke their narrative that the right is Homophobic?
