Everything about that is wrong (nothing new for Sheila):

an AR weighs about 6.5 lbs. not the 100 lbs. she implies
the standard AR-15 bullet is .223 caliber, a very small hunting round.
The .50 caliber bullets don't require licensing, nor should they
There are no AR variants that can fire the .50 BMG round she's talking about. There might be for the .50 AE, which isn't the round she's discussing.

There's a little nuance, in that there are a couple of .50 caliber rounds you can get an AR-15, they're called the .50 beowulf or the .50 ae (Action Express: a pistol round). These are extremely rare variants of the AR-15, and when most people think of .50 caliber round, they're thinking of a large bullet called the .50 BMG (which is closer to what she's describing). It's comical that you think you could get that in an AR-15. This is a .223 (Standard AR-15 round) on the left, and what Sheila Jackson Lee was comparing it to on the right. This is a .50AE that will fire in some custom AR-15's (nearly identical to a .50 beowulf) on the left, and what Sheila Jackson Lee was comparing it to on the right.

This is the usual leftist rant: proving she's a fool, a liar, or both.

Which raises the question, "Should we have the most ignorant, or most dishonest, writing/passing our gun laws?" If you answer "yes", you can be ignored. If you answer "no", then it demonstrates the problem that shooters have with gun controllers like Sheila.
