The Root
I've watched a few things by The Root: ignorant, biased, dishonest: a propaganda outfit (probably funded by the Russians).

Which is a shame, if they were more tame and honest, there are valid points buried in there, but they're so covered in bullshit, that their purpose must be to divide, inflame the gullible, and people get dumber for watching them by thinking they know what they're talking about. Examples:
Forced Hair Cutting[edit source]
The FakeNews used it repeat their fabrications about national race problems or worse, coupled it to Jeff Pence (VP) and his wife. Racism is everywhere! The reporter whos started the story, had promoted the families beauty products before starting the viral racial haircutting story. [1]. It seems like if any news had anything resembling fact checkers, they might have noticed this questionable behavior? Some are more responsible with corrections than others, but corrections wouldn't be necessary if we had responsible journalism waiting to get the facts, instead of sensationalizing every accusation with national front page headlines, and back page retraction. |
Chinese Food[edit source]
The gullible will watch the video and look around and see Chinese Restaurants as proof of racism. In truth, it's proof of diversity and how welcoming American culture is to foreign foods and cultures, even if things weren't so great for the first generation or two that came here. Also without context you fail to recognize that as bad as America could sometimes be, we were still better than the rest of the world, at virtually every time in our history (and better than the places the people came from, or they wouldn't have come here) -- so they are trying to use "presentism" (judging the past by today's SJW's standards) as a way to outrage people. When all it really does is show how myopic and self-absorbed many kids are today to buy that crap. |
Loitering Laws[edit source]
Look at the first two examples:
If those are the best 2 examples of racism that they come up with, then you know they don't have better examples. And that they don't offer the whole truth (context), let's you know what they're about. Loitering has been used against Irish (who are white), Mexicans, Asians, Whites (especially teens), homeless, and people of all races... not just because they were different in race/culture, but because of what large bands of unemployed and low class people do to area crime and property values. (It's as much classist as racist). |
