Unhinged (2020)

Unhinged is Russell Crowe thriller about an "unhinged" stranger terrorizing a young woman after a road rage incident.
Russell did a good job of looking and acting like John Goodman in 10 Cloverfield Lane (quiet, crazy type)... and as far as thrillers go, it wasn't horrible or great. Some suspense, with people occasionally doing predictably irrational things, and a few cheesy lines (groaners) thrown in. If you like thrillers done by a horror director, you'll probably enjoy it.

The most memorable part is it was the biggest major release to theaters during COVID. I'm not sure if that will help or hurt it. If you like thrillers done by a horror director, you'll probably enjoy it. If these aren't your genre, and they generally aren't mine, it's a reasonably entertaining 93 minutes... that will soon be forgotten.

If you want to see leftist bias in media, you just have to look at all the examples of how far off from their reviewers are from their viewers. I use the spread as a predictor of whether I'll like a film. Big spread with audience over critics? I'm going to like it. But big spread with critics over audience? I'll usually side with audience.

Tatometer Summary
RottenUnhinged.png Unhinged - It got a 48/77 (reviewer/viewer) score on RottenTomatoes. It was watchable enough that most people won't hate it... but it was treading on pretty predictable artistic ground, and it brought little new to the screen or genre. Not sure why there was the reviewer spread on this one. Probably because it shows there are bad people out there, and you can't rely on the cops to protect you.
