Germany fines parents 50€ for opting their kids out of a field trip to a Mosque. The state owns children, not parents.

Hamburger Morgenpost reports that parents who opted their kid out of a field trip to a Mosque, can be fined (50€). Your kids are wards of the state, Parents are just there to raise the little minions in a state-approved manner.
Personally, I would want my kid to go to a Mosque. Hell, I'd go with them, just to hear what they're being taught and enjoy the visit. (My Dad is Muslim, though I'm not). But I really, really don't like the idea of the state mandating it, and punishing non-compliance -- that's f'in terrifying.
