Then a more capitalist Socarrás caused an economic boom... until Batista decided to fix it with a Coup, and outlawed Communism as a threat. But Castro (Communist) took over anyways. Choosing Marxism, destroyed Cuban economy.

Bernie and Socialists Despots - 60 Minutes did a puff piece on Bernie, and the one biting segment that showed a 1980s era clip of him praising Castro. Bernie defended it with, "he educated their kids, gave them health care".... true. And Hitler was great with children and dogs, as long as they weren't Jewish children or dogs.
Bernie on Cuba - In a Jane Fonda moment, Bernie told an American political prisoner in Cuba, "I don't know what's so wrong with Cuba", while the prisoner was rotting in Prison during the Obama Administration (circa 2014).
Fidel Castro supporters - NYT has been a Castro fan/suppporters from the get go. They started by supporting his claims that he was "not a communist" and had no influence in his regime. Now they admit it, but talk up the "good side" of Communism... other than the murder/elimination of liberty, everyone is more equally oppressed.
Gini Coefficient - The Gini Coefficient came about when Corrado Gini wrote the book on Fascism. He said that income should be evenly distributed, and if it wasn’t, the imbalance is an excuse to seize and redistribute wealth and liberty to make things “more fair”. His coefficient is basically just that: a measure of how economically fascists (socialist) your country is.
Give it more time... - Some say we should have waiting for France or the U.N. to come around, or that sanctions were working. We call these people misinformed. Sanctions have never worked at doing anything but hurting the innocent. France and the U.N. were criminally making money off the oil-for-weapons scandal so would have never put the Iraqi people over their own greed.

She webt to March for our Lives, wearing a 🇨🇺 Cuban flag on her arm: a communist country known for disarming it’s own people and then slaughtering them wholesale. Implying she wants us to mimic them as a convincing argument for gun control?

Keynesian failures - It would be great if Keynesianism worked. But history shows it has failed every time it has been tried. Examples: the new deal, the new new deal, post WWII boom (cutting military should have caused depression), 1970's Stagflation broke the models, Japan's lost decades (Abenomics), every Communist economy that failed, every one that opened up and grew (N. Korea, Russia, China, Vietnam). All went the opposite of Keynes predictions.
Socialism - Socialism has been the most tried, and most failed government system, next to it's older brother (Tyranny). There have been many, many communes (cults, utopias). Some were small (like Zoar, Ohio), others were large (USSR, China, Nazi Germany, etc). Virtually all of them ended poorly.
Tragedy of the commons - We often get dire warnings about Malthusian Catastrophes, Ehrlich's population bombs and how individuals can't be trusted to manage shared interests. We need government to protect us from ourselves. History shows the opposite: individuals form small governments for common interests better than big governments, unless big government stops them.
Justin Trudeau - Justin Trudeau... the Obama of Canada. He mocks them by existing and getting elected.
