Gun Confiscation

NZ went full fascist after a shooting and tried to do an Australia-like gun-confiscation, with embarrassing results. After a far-left environmentalist shot up some mosques (and was slowed by a civilian with a gun), the leftists went full fascist and used that as an excuse to outlaw semi-automatics and round them up. Compliance was between 13-17% meaning they created ≈7 times as many new felons and illegal weapons as they collected. New Zealand is now preparing for a second-wave attempt at "voluntary" confiscations. Next comes door to door confiscations.

Remember the basics, a law is the point where the government says, "do it, or we steal your property, liberty and life" (if you resist). It's where the left realizes persuation can't work, because the facts/ethics are on their side, so they'll resort to force.
