As a product of big government, PBS sees the solution to every problem as more goverment. PBS news has two solutions to every problem: (1) "government failed to solve this, or made it worse: the solution is more government", or (2) "I know, let's pass a law/regulation/tax to fix it". When your only tool is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail. FakeNews (Junk News or yellow journalism) is when legitimate stories or facts are suppressed, journalistic standards aren't adhered to, half truths are told, or a narrative spun to where the story becomes misleading or false. Think: manufactured crises, hoaxes, clickbait (sensational teasers/headlines with buried facts), bias or selective fact-checking, anonymous or paid sources, minor stories obscuring more significant news, delaying or ignoring newsworthy events, are all forms of FakeNews. Most retractions or corrections are evidence of shoddy standards and/or editorial bias creating FakeNews.

I use to watch PBS and their News before they got taken over by the far left. If I wanted to dedicate my life to nothing else, I could make this page into a whole website on disinformation or examples of polemic partisan propaganda, that PBS fill their airtime with. 2019.06.08 PBS says GGWG is a myth

Using our public funds to spread anti-2A propaganda, PBS claims that there's no such thing as a Good-guy with a gun, despite 1.5-2.5M times a year, people use guns in self-defense. I've pulled a gun myself, 3 times on bad guys. I've got a section with dozens of examples at Good guys with guns, and PBS is spreading the lie. They go on to use Fake Facts to spread all the debunked liberal myths, that gun control works, that guns increase crimes, or that your own guns are likely to be used against you. Any researcher with a clue would at least offer that there's evidence against their political agenda. But PBS has given up the pretense of journalism and reporting the facts. Since they're no longer interested in the constitution or Journalism, I say defund them completely: fire them all, and let them go work for NYT, CNN or MSDNC where they belong. Not pretending to be a News outlet.

2019.09.25 Hiding the Abortionist
Indiana/Illinois abortionist (Ulrich Kopfer) died on Sept. 3, and 2,246 aborted babies were founded neatly labeled and preserved (as trophies), and the media all but suppressed (ignored) it. The bias in suppressing the story is nearly as disgusting as the story itself.

PBS created a crappy story about Welfare Queens that tries to debunk the myths with dirty tricks.

MAVNI Military Recruits
The AP headline, "US Army quietly discharging immigrant recruits" was a poorly written article about how immigrant enlisted had been let go. Orangeman was persecuting minorities in the military. Of course the truth is quite different, Trump reversed the Obama era program, and the media was spreading the Big Lie.

MeToo
MeToo/Gropegate is the lefts standard tool of accusing the political opposition of something so heinous they have to resign or are driven out (are cancelled). Dems had been hypocritically effective attacking Clarence Thomas while defending Kennedy/Clinton... but they made such a stink about it with Trump, that it backfired and started eating Democrats, Media and Hollywood alive.

Roosevelt's: An Intimate History
Ken Burns disappoints with a progressive puff-piece. Teddy the Republican was almost all bad. FDR the Democrat was almost all good. And the complexities that made both 3 dimensional (instead of just caricatures), was all whitewashed off the series. I figured the format would allow PBS to do something deep and complex, it was just long and shallow.

Trumps Baltimore Criticisms
Trump tweeted (paraphrased) two facts: (1) Rep, Elijah Cummings bullied border agents (2) Cummings Baltimore district is a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess. And maybe he should focus on cleaning up that dangerous & filthy place. Well, the left and their media (CNN, NBC, NYT, and other FakeNews) hates truth. So they screamed, "Racism" to distract.
