When asked in an interview about foreign policy experience and the proximity of Russia to Alaska, Palin replied, “they’re our next-door neighbors, and you can see Russia from an island in Alaska”. (Which is true). She went on to explain that she had just negotiated the largest ever Native American, Alaskan and Canadian oil treaties, which gave her far more successful foreign policy experience than Obama or Biden had. |

| I'm neither Sarah's biggest fan, nor detractor. Her played up folksy demeanor can grate on some people, but it's less fake than Obama black "hood" persona, Hillary southern girl, or Biden's anything -- so it seems to grate based on the like/dislike of the political position, more than the affect. Basically, Palin is a partisan politician that will repeat conservative talking points, just with 2/3rds less nasty and dumb than a Maxine Waters, Kamala Harris, or Nancy Pelosi. That doesn't make her a saint, but the outsized venom towards her, and all conservative women, is leftists hating narrative busters. Like strong accomplished Women or Blacks that vote Republican. |

- Sarah Palin became the youngest person and the first woman to be elected Governor of Alaska.
- Sarah Palin became the first Woman on the Republican National Ticket when she was appointed VP candidate for John McCain.
- Sarah endorsed and campaigned for the Tea Party Movement: a pro-constitutionalist, pro-fiscal prudence conservative faction, which the left also maligns, misrepresents and demonizes.
- Sarah Palin's book, Going Rogue sold more than two million copies.
- When the left can't argue the facts, they attack people, and pretend they are dumb, racists, or both. They invent narratives, and repeat them until their brainwashed rubes believe the lies, like Sarah ever said, "you can see Russia from my house". That was Tina Fey perverted an intelligently answered debate question, by pointing out that as Governor she had more foreign policy experience than either Senator's Joe Biden, or Barack Obama, as Alaska has to deal with Russia and Canada far more than a Jr. Senator from Illinois or Delaware does. With no ability to refute, the dishonest just mock/distract.
