Taylor Lorenz false allegations against Drudge Report

Lorenz falsely claimed Drudge Report was "relentlessly" harassing her. They weren't. Lorenz claimed she had been "relentlessly" harassed by an editor of the Drudge Report, who had threatened to ruin her career. Matt Drudge personally contacted Lorenz and told her no editor of the Drudge Report had been in contact with her, Lorenz deleted the tweets and said that she was joking. A spokesperson for the Post stated: "Taylor was repeatedly contacted by someone who claimed to be a Drudge editor" and that "As soon as she learned the person had no connection to the Drudge Report, she deleted the original tweet and wrote a tweet apologizing for her comment". Yeah, but it's a journalist's job to check facts before publishing, not to publish and expect the victims to reach out to her. If she worked for a professional place, she would have been reprimanded, instead of defended.
