The Creepy Line

This is a documentary on how Facebook and Google turns your data into their profit, and manipulate you in the process.
It was a bit sensational in parts, but did a worthy job in letting people know who and why their data was captured, and what they did to manipulate you. Generally, it was liked by viewers -- but far lefties didn't like that it attacked leftist icons, or showed how these organizations colluded with the Hillary (and Obama) campaigns to rig elections.

The stories are true -- and like they say, if you want to annoy a conservative, lie to them. But if you want to annoy a liberal, just tell the truth. This tells the truth.

The majority of the complaints I've seen were whataboutism (that some of the right wing might have gotten some of the data as well). Which might be true, though from what I can tell is overblown (Google and Facebook weren't directly helping them or manipulating results for them), so that doesn't weaken any point in the documentary just because the right might have tried it too.

If you want to see leftist bias in media, you just have to look at all the examples of how far off from their reviewers are from their viewers. I use the spread as a predictor of whether I'll like a film. Big spread with audience over critics? I'm going to like it. But big spread with critics over audience? I'll usually side with audience.

Tatometer Summary
RottenCreepy.png The Creepy Line - This got a 0/67 split between reviewers/viewers. The reviewers refused to review it. Google/RT blocked it from being archived. It told the truth abou the left, so was attacked as right-wing propaganda... despite the majority of it being basically true (as understood by a few non-tech guys, that documented valid examples of bias). Proven more true over time.

I want a social network that gives me control of what I see and share. Zuckerberg thinks ruthlessly stumbling on to lucky timing is the same thing as being really smart, and the world would be a better place if he ran it. Dunning-Kruger gets inflated by narcism and being surrounded by yes-men. Then he got political, and made him an enemy of Democracy.
