The San Rafael Bridge in the Bay Area is literally falling apart (large chunks of concrete falling on the deck below), while they're wasting $50M on a dedicated bike lane that virtually nobody will use. The Democrats want to increase traffic problems, so they can then ask for more money to fix it.

The San Rafael Bridge in the Bay Area is literally falling apart (large chunks of concrete falling on the deck below), most likely due to a bad retrofit. In the mean time, they're spending $50M on a dedicated bike lane, and giving up a lane (shoulder), for a 5.5 mile long bridge that would be more like 10 miles to get from anywhere to anywhere else -- in a windy stretch that no one wants to ride (or spend 3 hours walking) anyways. They keep punishing drivers for non-existent riders/pedestrians, so that they can increase traffic problems, and ask for more money to fix it.
