| I'm a native Californian, but it makes me sad to say that. This state is the most constantly bad, and least tolerant of the states I've lived in or visited. It's kind of a "how not to" on how to govern, mind your own business, or help those less fortunate. Cali usually ranks dead last on Quality of Life metrics according to U.S. News and world report. I'm not sure about that -- if you're rich, it's pretty nice. But if you're struggling and have a family, it's harsh. Their progressivism has made it one of the hardest states to get ahead in. |

Having lived all over the nation, the Bay Area is the least tolerant place I've lived.
Tolerance being how you treat people you disagree with -- so the way they treat cigarette smokers (but not marajuana), the military, fast food restaurants, those that disagree with them on any topic by calling everyone racist, sexist, homophobes, that's how much tolerance they have. The collectivist credo: demand conformity, bitch when you don't get it, henpeck anyone who disagrees, then blame the other side for not being tolerant enough of your ideas (if they complain), while being completely intolerance to theirs. Cuba, Venezuela, the Bay Area? The differences are just in the degree.

- 2016.09.19 Reduce Cow Farts - California requires farmers to control their cows gas.
- 2017.10.06 Knowingly exposing someone to HIV is not a crime - The far left decriminalized hiding that you have HIV, in order to have sex or donate blood/tissue. (SB 239)
- 2019.02.08 San Rafael Bridge Care - Rather than doing required maintenance on San Rafael Bridge, they diverted fund to a dedicated bike lane.
- 2020.01.22 Oakland to ban tenant background checks - Oakland banned landlords from running background checks on potential tenants. Then blaming landords for poor screening.
- Bay Bridge Boondoggle - The bay bridge is a metaphor for San Francisco: late, over-budget, boondoggle, with fundamental design issues.
- California High Speed Rail Boondoggle - High Speed Rail makes no sense for California, so they wasted many billions of taxpayer dollars and got nothing.
- California IPOs - California noticing the obvious; IPOs are way down (anti-Business practices are going to leave a mark on their bottom line).
- California Notary - My wife took a class to get her notary, but was blocked by the County Recorder, because that's what Bureaucrats do in Cal.
- California Water Crisis - California's fake water drought has nothing to do with rain, and everything to do with the failure of government.
- California asks why gas prices are so high - Newsome and pawn whines about why California gas prices are so high, and Valero exec answers him.
- LAX Rideshare Policy - California banned Uber/Lyft from curbside pickups under the false premise that this would reduce congestion.
- Lie of Averages - This is a math trick often used by politicians (esp. left) to believe something is the opposite of what it is.
- Power Reliability - Living in both California and Texas, I would take Texas's power failures over California's.
- Prop D - Vacancy tax penalizes landlords for the inability to find storefront tenants, after the city has made it harder to find tenants.
- Red or Blue Murder - Anyone who has glanced at whether Republicans/Democrats are softer on crime, or have the worst murder rates knows it's blue.
- San Francisco: Parking Signs - SF removed 1 lane of traffic+parking to create a walking path/homeless encampment.
- Sanctuary State Backlash - Californians (who supported this), lost their right to ever complain about state overreach again.
- The Dating Game Killer - Rodney James Alcala was a fugitive and on a murder spree, and participant on "The Dating Game".

- Arizona SB-1070 - Obama unconstitutionally violated immigration law, Arizona passed SB-1070 to enforce it. Activist Supreme Court Justices overruled Arizona.
- Licensing and Regulation - These are where Government takes your rights away.... and then will sell (lease) your liberty back to you, for a price.
- Peruta v. San Diego - California is one of only 10 "May-issue" Conceal and Carry permits states (as opposed to "Shall-Issue").
- Plastic Bag Bans - Plastic Bag Bans are anti-environmentalism, anti-economics, and hurts people, and the left loves them.
- Ruger 5.7 - Bought a Ruger 5.7 the other day, nice gun, nice round -- of course not available in California.
- San Jose Tea Party Rally (2010) - I went the 1 block from work to a Tea Party Rally in San Jose (April 2010). They were not what the media pretended.
- Straw Bans - Anti-Science Straw Bans are the epitome of California's intolerance towards right-thinking humans. (Copy-catted elsewhere).

- California Coastal Commission - The CCC is what happens when community organizers run development planning. They kill progress, and hurt people.

- California Resistance - Hillary Clinton was the worst Candidate in my lifetime (until Biden). She lost. California Tantrumed.
- California Tax Priority - California increased capital spending for roads and bridges at 3x inflation (for 30 years). They claim that wasn't enough.
- California Tax Tyranny - California overtaxed, so voters required 2/3rds supermajority to raise taxes. So they overtaxed some more (and whined).
- California and CCW - California, or at least many counties in it, ignored the spirit and letter of the Conceal and Carry laws with impunity.
- Gender Neutral Toy Stores - If it wasn't for California, who would protect you from boys and girl departments?
- Hunting is conservation - Hunting creates a vested interest in protecting wildlife, and the hunting licenses pay for that protection.
- Jesus Fucking Christ - To the left, the norms are worthy of contempt and mocking: especially Christianity/Christ. Enter the Hunky Jesus Contest.
- Eric McCormack - Will, of Will and Grace, vocal far-leftist, that gets caught being hypocritical and anti-diversity (towards conservatives).
- Outlawing Car Repairs - Sacramento County says it's illegal to work on your own car, in your own garage!?!? WTF.
- People v. Turner - People v. Turner shows everything that's wrong with SJW's, Snowflakes, and Californias mob rule, Persky was splatter hate.

- Redacted High School - George Washington's mural was removed from the High School because history was too offensive for San Francisco.

- Sanctuary City - A Sanctuary City is where the city will obstruct deporting or prosecuting repeat felons, in trade for money/votes.
- Seatbelt Laws - If you don't wear a device that the state demands, they will take your property, liberty, or life (if you resist).
- Smoking - Persecuting smoking and smokers is a modern witch hunt among the left, to the point of being anti-Science.
- Stealth Tax Increase - California has laws that tax increases need to go through voters, so they cheat -- like this payroll tax increase.
- Stem Cell Research - California ignored medical ethicists, and funded harvesting new fetal strains to support unnecessary human experimentation.
- Travel Bans - California tries to show they're the biggest crybully hypocrites with travel bans over laws they don't like.

- Tom Brokaw - Once considered the paragon of a fair Journalism, history shows how partisan and biased he was all along.
- Jerry Brown - Governor Moonbeam of California. Sometimes sane, usually off his rocker -- represented California spectacularly.
- Jim Carrey - A Canadian actor, comedian, writer, and faux artist know for frenetic slapstick performances, and attacks on reason.
- Robert De Niro - A repeat High School flunk-out, multiple divorcé, famous for playing make believe (acting) as low-IQ'd tough guys.
- Kathy Griffin - Kathy is a whiney, rude, shock-jock of comedy. Not quite as bad as Sarah Silverman, Rosey O'Donnel, Samantha Bee.
- Jimmy Kimmel - Unfunny, Misogynist pseudo-commedian of the Man Show, before he became woke host of late night TV.
- Eric McCormack - Will, of Will and Grace, vocal far-leftist, that gets caught being hypocritical and anti-diversity (towards conservatives).
- Alyssa Milano - TV personality famous for playing a ditz. Also famous for being one IRL.
- Rosie O'Donnell - Rosie is a somewhat vile person. It's that she's an igonrant bully. It's delicious watching her get her comeuppance.
- John Oliver - John Oliver is Jon Stewards perpetually outraged British Socialist successor.

- Ricky Gervais - Far-left, fearless english comedian, actor, director, and writer that has survived the Woke Mob... so far.
- Amy Schumer - The actress from Trainwreck didn't have to stretch for the role, like a less talented Sarah Silverman.
- Aaron Sorkin - They say "you are what you do", you're the sum of your work, and your work is a reflection of your soul.
- Kevin Spacey - Actor - 20 men accused of sexual misconduct, including 14 year old. #MeToo
- George Takei - Mildly amusing b-rate actor, snarky bitch, plagiarist, hypocrite... a renaissance man of the new millennium.
Conclusion[edit | edit source]
Some people claim that California is "leading the nation". On some issues they try -- but sometimes I don't want to follow.
Others claim that California is more "Liberal". I find it ironic that the nation finds California "liberal", when about some things California the biggest bunch of politically-correct, intollerant, goose stepping brown shirts I've ever met. Liberal means tolerant towards those you disagree with, and no state is less tolerant of others views than California. Of course, not all laws in California are bad -- and niether is all of California. Californians are tollerant of a lot of things. But I think that when people think of California as the left-coast, or as Liberal, they might want to think about what that means, because I'm pretty sure it doesn't mean what they think it does.
