California asshats banned Uber/Lyft from curbside pickups (they had to shuttle to a remote lot) under the false premise that this would reduce congestion (really it was because they hate free enterprise than the Gig-economy represents, and they're beholden to Taxi lobby). The completely predictable results were hour long waits and Carmageddon. It's not like nobody warned them, virtually everyone warned them that would happen. Now they pretend to care, and apologize.... but not fix the problem by reversing their brain dead policy. Yet.
