COVID FakeNews
From iGeek
The media has been generating a landslide of FakeNews around COVID (SARS-CoV-2).

- COVID Anti-Asian - China pressured the Press to stop calling it the Wuhan or China virus, and after 4 months of using the term, around mid March the far-left outlets all complied. Then called Trump a racist for still using the term. Hey, anything to help the CCP or hurt the U.S.
- COVID Lies - The public was lied to. Not just mistakes, but outright deception. Those lies advantaged some politicians and elites, and have undermined the public trust. The steps in gaining that trust back are (a) admitting the truth (b) holding the liars accountable (c) addressing transparency and process to assure that it won't happen again.
- COVID Models - There were multiple models used to scare the rubes on what we had to worry about with the COVID Pandemic. They were terribad. They either under-estimated or over-estimated the dead. But even when they got close, they got the time scale to get those deaths off by orders of magnitude (and would have been more wrong, if the predicted the Vaccines, but wrong on that as well).
- COVID Trump - The Trump hating (TDS suffering) media, decided everything Trump said was wrong. Lies about Trump and COVID included: Trump reacted too quickly, then too slowly, Trump claimed COVID is a hoax, Trump claimed drinking Lysol is a cure, Trump claiming vaccines in 2020 was impossible, Hydroxychloroquine had no evidence or broader that other drugs like Remdesivir or Ivermectin were false hope, that it originated in China, that the travel ban was racist, that it might have originated in a lab.
- COVID is a hoax - Politico ran a piece titled, "Trump rallies his base to treat coronavirus as a ‘hoax’". (CNN, MSNBC, leftist polemics and politicians repeated it). He didn't. They lied. Trump called the effort to blame him for COVID a hoax. Even FakeNews Fact Checkers had to admit it.
- COVID timeline - Less than a month after identification (January 31, 2020), President Trump declared a public health emergency and began restricting U.S. access to non-citizens from China, and quarantined travellers on U.S. military bases for two weeks. Democrats called it a racist overreaction. They were too busy with Scampeachment to notice. Later they claimed he wasn't fast enough.
- Lysolgate - After a COVID briefing on how to kill COVID w/UV light and disinfectants, Trump made a passing comment to the presenter about using these ideas in vitro (in the body). The Press lost their nut, and was claiming he's trying to get people to breathe drain cleaner or shoot Lysol into their veins or something. You can't make this up.
- NYT on COVID - NYT headline, "One Year, 400,000 Coronavirus Deaths: How The U.S. Guaranteed Its Own Failure"... and the subhead blaming Orangeman, "After the White House declined to pursue a unified national strategy, governors faced off against lobbyists, health experts and a restless public consumed by misinformation". That misinfo came from the NYT, CDC, FDA, WHO, and so on.
- Polarizing the shutdown - The left believes in (a) making rules is the same as convincing people to follow them (b) destroying the economy and blaming Trump for it. So naturally, they want the shutdown to go on as long as possible, and are furious when people disagree. In a diverse society, you're going to get a diversity of followers.
- WHO on COVID - The WHO is responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths around the world. If you want to know how they failed, and why the U.S. suspended payments until they complete an investigation. But it's not enough. The organization just covered for China, which leaked the virus, covered up data, and gave out false information, then profited off the disease. WHO didn't care.
